Bill Lucas


Professor Bill Lucas is Director of the Centre for Real-World Learning at the University of Winchester. He is now also joining the Mitchell Institute as an international adviser. An acknowledged thought-leader in education, Bill has been a school leader and the founder of two national educational charities. With Guy Claxton he created the Expansive Education Network for schools who see the goals of education as including much that is central to Educating Ruby. As an author, often with Guy Claxton, he has written more than forty widely translated books which have sold more than half a million copies, including Help your child to succeed, and, for the BBC, Happy Families: how to make one, how to keep one. Bill is in demand across the world as a researcher, speaker and facilitator.
