Christopher Berry has enjoyed a 24 year career as a teacher and administrator for Montgomery County Public Schools in Maryland. For eighteen years he taught social studies, most notably Advanced Placement United States History (a subject his still misses teaching), also serving as Department Chair for two high schools.

Administratively, he was fortunate to have served as the Signature Program Coordinator in Arts and Humanities, combining his teaching and leadership expertise with his passion for theatre, music, and other art forms. Since 2004, he has worked as an assistant principal, focusing on smaller learning communities for students and empowerment of school-based leadership. In 2007, he was honored as State Assistant Principal of the Year by the Maryland Association of Secondary School Principals. He enjoys presenting at regional and national conferences on leadership models and collaborative systems.

Effective July 2010, Chris has been appointed Principal, James Hubert Blake High School, where he hopes to further the tradition of effective administrative leadership and mentorship.
