Homa Sabet Tavangar, MPA, is the author of Growing Up Global: Raising Children to Be At Home in the World (2009), hailed by United States education and business leaders and media ranging from Dr Jane Goodall to the BBC, Washington Post online, Scholastic and many more. 

Her work is sparking initiatives to help audiences from CEOs to Foundation Year students learn and thrive in a global context – and have fun along the way. She is a contributor to the Huffington Post and Edutopia, among other media, and a sought-after speaker and trainer around global citizenship, parenting, globalising curriculum, empathy and inclusion. She is co-author of The Global Education Toolkit for Elementary Learners (Corwin, 2014). 

Homa has twenty years of experience in global competitiveness and organisational, business and international development with hundreds of businesses, non-profit agencies, governments and international organisations. She has served on various non-profit boards, including her current position on the board of directors of the Tahirih Justice Center, a national leader in protecting immigrant women and girls fleeing violence.
